Privacy, Terms & Conditions

We believe in keeping it simple. As a result, we will try to use plain English, and keep our terms and conditions as short and easy to understand as possible.

We sell ICE Smart Tags (bands, pet tags, keyfobs etc.). Our existence is to make the world a better place, save lives, and help raise money for good causes. We take internet fraud seriously, and so if we have any doubts (e.g. if alerted from the band), we will make contact, and ask for your help to confirm your identity, and delivery instructions.

We only deliver to the cardholder’s registered billing address. Despite previous requests, we cannot leave parcels in ‘special’ places, as this does not guarantee delivery.

Create-to-order Custom/bespoke merchandise are non-refundable.

Please contact us by email or telephone if you have any questions.

Our work with Charities:

Key principle is that we will work, within the confines of the law, to help generate donations for good causes.

To avoid becoming a financial organisation, with all the red tape that goes with it, we cannot give you the balance in your donation pots directly, but instead promise to donate to your selected charities/campaigns, the equivalent financial amount will be sent to the various charities for their corresponding campaigns, as the amount you request via the reward donation allocation process from your Reward Pots.

For legal and tax reasons, we will only ever provide donations to registered charities, in conjunction with UK regulations, such as Anti-Money Laundry, Know Your Customer, GDPR, as well as any other known legal restrictions.

Reputation is everything. We are not willing to compromise ours. If you have a problem with any purchase via Aurora, or a pre-purchase, device, balance tracking, or any other aspect of the products and services we offer, we will always do our best to compensate you for your experience, in such a way that it could be described as being ‘worth the inconvenience’. Your custom means the world to us, and the contributions it allows us to make we hope will mean a lot to the world.

Sometimes, the donations generated through the website may not be traced back to an individual, for a variety of reasons beyond our control. For this we apologise, and will ensure that any untraced donations will be put into the main central pot that we will clear update for everyone can see, so there’s nothing hidden, and worthwhile good causes will still benefit.

The choice of good causes to receive donations will also be made very transparent, and something you can join in to influence. How to do so is explained on the Q&A page. No doubt, there will have to be more soon to add to the Terms and Conditions section, due to the need for legal disclaimers, but we hope you will appreciate by this point that we are a values driven business, determined to follow the law, and to do something worthwhile in a transparent and positive manner.

GDPR, Data Security, and Privacy:

We can’t go anywhere without someone asking us about GDPR! The ICEsmartbands site and shop is hosted in the UK, and all purchase related information is stored securely in a UK data centre.

We need to capture some information from you during the purchase process to verify your identity, help avoid fraud, and to improve your experience. We will follow GDPR regulations regarding data security, retention, and removal.

The ICE portal (where you register your ICE smart tags) is also UK hosted, with all data stored in the UK, but uses Amazon AWS for securely storing images. The only information we hold about you is the information you provide to us. This includes your email address (the only piece of information that must be valid), and the information you choose to add. ICE products can be used globally, and will access your information that you have added for the benefit of paramedics, doctors, nurses, first aiders, care workers, and any other first responder.

Wholesale prices apply to companies, charities, clubs, and registered non-profit organisations. Minimum quantities may apply.

Portal Privacy– We believe in Privacy. Not just because of the GDPR (Global Data Protection Regulations) and PII (Personal Identifiable Information) regulations, but also because we see it as your choice with whom you share your personal information. As a result, each portal user will not be asked to provide personally identifiable information, which is another reason why donations are only ever to be made to registered and screened charities, and never to individuals. However, information provided to us may be of use to others, either for their own market research, tailoring marketing campaigns, or in some other shape and form. We won’t share personal information, because we don’t collect any. But if we do make any money by the sale of anonymous untraceable data, we will we update your donation pot accordingly, further helping good causes. We have very strict sharing rules, top notch data security, and the technical team really knows their stuff. Please realise that reputation is everything, and we will do our best never to compromise yours.

This information is stored in the webshop, and is used to ensure that your identity and your purchases are linked for security reasons. All user purchases will be screened via our Payment Merchant Account to the highest level available, to protect the card holder.
